The Pieh Tool Crouchet Fly Press Tooling System

Our Fly Press Tooling System was designed my John Crouchet exclusively for the Pieh Legacy Collection.  (DVD5 How to use a Fly Press by John Crouchet) John has many years of fly press experience and designed this system to make the fly press an invaluable tool for any professional blacksmith shop. This tooling is necessary in order to use a press for blacksmithing. Most of our tooling is made from S7 tool steel. Made in USA!

Shank fits 1" hardie holes.

This tool is used for many things such as making vein's on leaves. You would use this tool underneath the leaf to provide a curved working surface while using the veining chisel or ball punch. The piece can be rocked on the mushroom to create curved lines.

The mushroom is beautifully dressed and is 2 3/8 inch diameter by 2 inches high (OAL 3 1/2 inches).

Can be used in an anvil or a fly press. Made from low carbon steel and is soft (not hardened) but can be hardened with Cherry Red. (Item #CHR-1) We left it soft so that the veining chisels or ball punches would not be damaged. Make in USA for the Pieh Legacy Collection of tools.

Fullers make reducing or stretching stock almost effortless. Can also be used to make shoulders or other indentations with a fly press. S7 Tool steel construction with tig welded back. This is a top and bottom tool set.  Top and bottom tool both have 1 inch shanks. Made in USA.

The tooling extension holds tooling for the fly press. The set screw makes tool release fast and easy.  The size equates to the hole (female) inside the extension.  All shanks are 1 inch.  We offer 4 sizes.

Designed for our #4, #5, #6 fly presses and comes with tee nut, cap and screws (not shown). Bolt holes are countersunk.

The clamping plate allows you to clamp your projects or tooling down while keeping the bottom access hole free for use with a hardy bolster. This allows you to use the press to hold bottom tools as well. Made in USA.
