A cone (or mandrel) is for hammering barstock into perfect conical rings or scroll shapes.  It sits in the anvils' hardy hole vertically and has a purpose similar to the horn on an anvil.  In years past mandrel's were also used to make bindings for wheel hubs.

Mini-mandrel cone which fits in a vice, anvil hardy or swage block hole. Shank is not tapered.

Approximate OAL: 8 inches; 5-3/4" from base to tip. Diameter starts at 2 1/2" and tapers to a 3/16" point.

Made in USA.

Available in 3/4, 7/8, 1 and 1 1/4" shanks
