The CM350PB Crucible Furnace has been designed and manufactured based on well proven Flamefast technology. The single phase whisper quiet blown air burner unit can be run on either Natural Gas or on LPG bottled gas.
The Crucible Furnace will melt up to 2 litres of Brass or Bronze in 35 minutes and 2 litres of Aluminium in 25 minutes. To improve the casting operation, there is a durable stainless steel top tile to preheat ingots of metal.
The CM350PB is a safety tilt crucible which removes the need to lift the pot of molten metal unless lifting is required for the particular mould configuration being used. If lifting is required, a special lifting frame is available which lifts the whole drum assembly rather than the "bare" white hot crucible pot to improve safety of working. The Crucible Furnace is usually placed on a Flamefast Raised Sand Tray which removes the need for a casting pit, raises the crucible to a more convenient working height and means that only protective leggings are needed rather than protective footwear.
The burner has auto ignition with fail safe controls and flame failure protection. The simplicity of the CM350PB means that the unit requires minimum maintenance.
As with all Flamefast equipment, the CM350PB Safety Tilt Crucible Furnace is covered by the Flamefast unconditional 2 year warranty.

According to the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, BS 4163:2000 and COSHH Regulations it is mandatory that all fumes must be removed at source.
The CM350 PB is fitted with a high performance burner and control system incorporating a fully automatic start sequence which is initiated by the touch of a switch. The furnace offers fast melt times over a wide range of metals, from aluminium to bronze, brass, copper, gold and silver.

If required the drum assembly can be detached and carried to the mould using the Combined Lifting and Pouring Tools which are supplied as optional extras.

Made specifically with the jeweller in mind the CM 353 PB is an alternative drum assembly available with a smaller lift out A3 crucible with a hinged lid. This feature makes it ideal for jewellers and others involved in melting small quantities of precious metals. In tests 500 gms of brass have been melted in four minutes and gold in six. The crucible drum has been designed so that it can be interchangeable with that of the standard drum housing the A10 crucible pot.
