"World-class shoes for equine comfort and performance."

Made in Italy of pressure-cast ATM Alloy (Aluminum-Titanium-Magnesium), Piero Olivieri world-class horseshoes provide sure-footed, comfortable performance.

The unique construction and design Olivieri shoes enhance their inherent shock-absorbency and superb comfort-performance characteristics. No wonder they were worn by the mounts of the gold team show jumping medalists at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics!

These ATM alloy shoes reliably dampen the front impact at least 50% better than traditional iron shoes studied under identical conditions! The superior shock-absorbency of Piero Olivieri ATM alloy horseshoes has been proven in comparative tests conducted by Dr. Paolo Toni, Professor of Vibration Mechanics at the University of Florence, Italy. (Ref: The European Farriers Journal, #50, 1993.)

Euro Classic horseshoes

The Piero Olivieri Euro Classic shoes have design features that enhance durability, stability, and hoof protection for performance horses. These include high profile, wide web, rounded front toes, a slight front wedge, distinctive front toe clips, hind quarter clips, and optional hind fixed heel caulks. They are cast in user-friendly right and left patterns for both fronts and hinds. They come in sets of four or pairs, and are punched for E-head nails: Delta E5, E5SL and E6 usually work the best. Available sizes range from 00 to 4 (Euro 3 to 8). A farrier can easily cold shape the shoes a half size in either direction. They can be drilled and tapped. See a detailed table of dimensions at the bottom of this page for proper sizing.

The far right photo displays a hind right pattern shoe as seen both straight-on and in profile. Both front and hind shoes have a right and a left pattern.

All Piero Olivieri Euro Classics feature a Wide Web, rounded toes, distinctive toe clips, and wedge design. The shoe in these photos is US size 2 (Euro size 6). Ideal for warmbloods.

These shoes excel in classic performance displines, such as hunter/jumpers, dressage, eventing, as well as western endurance and combined driving events. Their flashy design and safety features make them highly suitable for parade and show riding. They are the ideal shoes for warmblooded performance horses.

Fixed hind calks are available in most sizes.

Kiss-Q horseshoes

The Kiss-Q horseshoe is a plain single pattern shoe with a medium profile, medium crease, wide web, vertical tails, and relatively fine nail pattern. These shoes are adaptable to most western pleasure and performance needs. The foundry calls it the Q shoe, since it was designed for quarter horses; some American farriers nicknamed it the "Kiss" shoe ("Keep It Simple Stupid"). One can only guess which name will stick! Kiss-Q shoes come in sizes 00-1, and are available in pairs. The unique advantages of pressure-cast ATM alloy are manifested in these shoes.

These shoes have a medium profile, flat wide web self-cleaning design with rounded toe clips front and hind, user-friendly right & left front & hind patterns, deep crease except at toes, and they also share the advantages of pressure cast ATM alloy. These shoes have proven themselves on European racetracks. They are produced in sets of four, sizes 28-31 (US 00-1), but are also available in pairs.
